Below are some security practices to protect your accounts when using our mobile deposit services:
- Read the Kerndt Bank Mobile Banking Agreement in full for details regarding mobile deposit procedures and security
- Utilize the required special endorsement "For Mobile Deposit, deposit account number", on checks you will deposit through mobile deposit capture to ensure you deposit is accepted by the financial institution.
- Remember that Kerndt Brother Bank will never ask for your electronic or mobile banking credentials. Do not share your credentials with others.
- We recommend that you retain checks you have deposited through mobile deposit capture for 14 business days after deposit and subsequently destroy your checks through cross-cut shredding.
- Only download the Kerndt Brother Mobile Banking Application from the Apple App Store or Google Play store.
- You can also find a link to the application for download on the Kerndt Brother Banking website.
- Do not access mobile deposit through unsecured, public Wi-Fi networks.
- Utilize security features on your personal mobile device, such as PINs or biometrics such as fingerprint scanner.
- If your device is lost or stolen, disable mobile banking through your online banking account or contact the bank at 800-577-5272
- Use anti-malware software on your mobile device if possible.
- Keep your mobile device up to date with regular system and firmware updates.
