Client Service Assistant - Decorah

This role is designed as both a critical support position and a starting point for long-term career growth within Wealth Management. The Client Service Assistant will have the opportunity to develop the skills and experience needed to pursue industry licensing and grow into a licensed advisor role over time.
This person will be responsible for the administrative functions for Kerndt Brothers Savings Bank Wealth Management financial planners. Responsibilities may vary but include: client correspondence, meeting preparation and follow-up, application processing, database management, and commission tracking.
- Maintains a safe, professional, orderly, and clean working environment, ensuring positive, high-quality customer service at all times.
- Prepares materials and information for client meetings, including but not limited to preparing investment summaries and block charts outlining recommended changes, and ensuring all necessary materials and forms are ready for meetings.
- Processes applications by reviewing and completing any missing information when received from the planner or client.
- Screens client telephone inquiries; answers questions, researches appropriate responses, or refers inquiries to the financial planner as needed.
- Answers incoming customer telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
- Delivers superior responsiveness in support of our client base’s inquiries.
- Communicates effectively any concerns to all applicable internal staff members.
- Responds to and researches representative inquiries within a 24-hour period.
- Answers client inquiries and provides appropriate technical and/or product-related information, as well as assistance with requested transactions.
Qualified candidates must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Experience working in a paperless office environment is highly preferred. Candidates must be passionately committed to serving and caring for others and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while operating successfully under deadlines. Must be able to follow directions, work independently, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence and high standards. Strong verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills are essential.
Previous experience in the investment field is preferred, but not required. Software experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

Business Banker - Cedar Rapids
As a Business Banker, we are looking for candidates with effective interpersonal skills to maintain and create lasting relationships with customers and co-workers. This position will manage and develop commercial credit relationships.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Managing an existing portfolio
- Soliciting and promoting new business development opportunities from both existing customers and qualified prospects
- Performing financial analysis, by collecting necessary financial information from current and prospective borrowers to enable adequate analysis of the credit.
- Performing thorough underwriting of all new and existing credits in accordance with Bank policy and procedures and utilizing financial analysis software to aid in underwriting and credit decisioning.
- Working with Credit Analysts and other loan support personnel to thoroughly document and maintain credit files to meet Bank and Regulatory standards.
- Maintaining past due accounts at acceptable levels and collection of assigned credit relationships
- Maintaining accurate risk ratings for all assigned credit relationships as required by Bank policy. Pro-actively recommend changes to risk ratings as financial conditions of a credit relationship deem appropriate.
Qualified candidates will have Bachelor’s degree in banking or finance and 5 or more years of related commercial and/or ag lending experience.
